East-West Conference in Potsdam

Berlin-Brandenburg as gate­way in East-West traf­fic” was the to­pic of the first in­dus­try con­fe­rence of the lo­gi­stics net­work Berlin-Brandenburg. Around 100 par­ti­ci­pan­ts we­re pre­sen­ted and dis­cus­sed op­por­tu­ni­ties for the de­ve­lo­p­ment of lo­gi­stics ser­vices on the Corridor Europe — Asia.

At the pa­nel dis­cus­sion Dr. Norbert Wagener, Managing Director of W&H and lo­gi­stics coor­di­na­tor of the lo­gi­stics net­work, a stron­ger co­ope­ra­ti­on and net­wor­king of the GVZ and lo­gi­stics lo­ca­ti­ons along the rou­te Berlin — Warsaw — Vilnius — Minsk — Moscow — Ekaterinburg — China. W & H and IPG Potsdam as mem­bers of the lo­gi­stics net­work sup­port the es­tab­lish­ment of GVZ in Lithuania and Moscow.

Prof. Dr. Oleg Dunaev, ad­vi­ser to the Russian Ministry of Regional Development, in­for­med about the plans for the ex­pan­si­on of con­tai­ner trans­port and ter­mi­nals on the Trans-Siberian route.

Uwe Leuschner, General Manager of DB Schenker for Russia, pre­sen­ted the new con­tai­ner train con­nec­tions to Moscow and dis­cus­sed exis­ting challenges.
