“Berlin-Brandenburg as gateway in East-West traffic” was the topic of the first industry conference of the logistics network Berlin-Brandenburg. Around 100 participants were presented and discussed opportunities for the development of logistics services on the Corridor Europe — Asia.
At the panel discussion Dr. Norbert Wagener, Managing Director of W&H and logistics coordinator of the logistics network, a stronger cooperation and networking of the GVZ and logistics locations along the route Berlin — Warsaw — Vilnius — Minsk — Moscow — Ekaterinburg — China. W & H and IPG Potsdam as members of the logistics network support the establishment of GVZ in Lithuania and Moscow.
Prof. Dr. Oleg Dunaev, adviser to the Russian Ministry of Regional Development, informed about the plans for the expansion of container transport and terminals on the Trans-Siberian route.
Uwe Leuschner, General Manager of DB Schenker for Russia, presented the new container train connections to Moscow and discussed existing challenges.
