Green supply chains to the east: Dutch shippers and logistics experts are guests in Frankfurt (Oder)

On 10 April 2014, Dutch ship­pers and lo­gi­sti­ci­ans, tog­e­ther wi­th German and Polish ter­mi­nal ope­ra­tors and freight for­war­ders, dis­cus­sed pos­si­bi­li­ties to con­so­li­da­te car­go flows via the Frankfurt (Oder) lo­ca­ti­on and trans­port them mo­re cost-ef­fec­ti­ve and eco­lo­gi­cal­ly sustainable.

Dr. Jürgen Voigt of Alblas International b.v. re­por­ted on long-stan­ding, po­si­ti­ve ex­pe­ri­en­ces in the re­la­ti­on Holland — Germany — Poland from Frankfurt (Oder). Other top spea­k­ers we­re Godfried Smit, International Policy Director of the Netherlands Dealer Federation EVO and Chairman of the Transport Committee of the German-Dutch Chamber of Commerce; Heiko Rumfeld, Managing Director of the Duisport Agency; Monika Konsor-Faferek, Marketing Director of PCC Intermodal and Dr. Martin Wilke, Lord Mayor of Frankfurt (Oder).
