The EU project RETRACK examines ways of shifting European freight transport to rail in the West-South-East relations. The RETRACK transport corridor connects two major ports on the North Sea and the Black Sea — Rotterdam and Constanta.
WAGENER & HERBST specifically examines the possibility of extending the RETRACK corridor to Russia and China via the Trans-Siberian railway. The consortium consists of 18 partners, headed by “The Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research” (TNO). The project was launched in May 2007 and will end in 2012.
