Together with Ernst & Young Baltic, Vilnius and the IPG mbH from Potsdam, W&H works on behalf of the city of Šiauliai on a feasibility study for a Public Logistics Center (PLC).
Šiauliai is located in the north of Lithuania with very good access to trans-European road and rail corridors. The planned GVZ is located in the immediate vicinity of the industrial park and airport of the city. In early 2010, PLC Šiauliai was declared a project of national importance by the Government of Lithuania.
The successful Lithuanian-German team has already developed the third study for PLC projects in Lithuania. The feasibility study was presented to PLC Vilnius in October 2009. At present a study is also being prepared for a PLC at Kaunas.
W&H brings its logistics and Eastern European experience into the project and coordinates the German side again.
